    Registration includes digital materials and access to all event sessions and meals listed on the agenda.

  • General Cancellation Policy
  • Due to contractual obligations, cancellations received 15 business days prior to the program will receive a full refund. Cancellations received 6 to 14 business days prior to the event will receive a refund, less a $100 administrative fee. No shows and last minute cancellations, 5 business days prior to the event or less, will be responsible for the full registration fee. Substitutions from your organization for the same event are always welcome.
  • Participation Policy
  • Western Energy Institute programs and events are open to energy companies (including gas production and electric generation, gas and electric transmission and gas and electric distribution utilities). Select programs and events are open to energy industry product and service suppliers. Programs and events are closed to all media representatives and to the general public. Recording is not permitted for any portion of the event.

Sarah feels that she is called to do this work – to make a difference in the lives of SMUD’s employees. Sarah has a Master’s & Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, and certificates in the following: Project Management; Process Mapping; Six Sigma Green Belt; and Training & Facilitation.

Silvia Morales is the Talent Acquisition & Workforce Readiness Manager for San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities.
She is responsible for all aspects of the staffing and recruiting functions, HR data analyzation and reporting, as well as workforce readiness programs. Her areas of oversight include full-cycle recruitment and internal talent movement for all levels of employees, legal compliance, adherence to the collective bargaining agreement, and human resource information system needs. Additionally she manages the development and implementation of workforce readiness programs that will establish a pipeline of qualified, diverse talent for future workforce needs of the company.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from San Diego State University and is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources.
