Annual Photo Contest Winners Revealed
WEI’s quarterly publication is distributed to more than 9,000 decision-makers of public and private companies involved in electric generation and transmission, gas and electric distribution, pipeline operations, power marketing and energy-related services. Content is contributed from WEI member companies and industry partners, and offers unique perspectives pertinent to energy executives and managers who face common business challenges spanning across front line operations to back office functions.
On aerial data collection:
“It became readily apparent that aerial data collection could easily exceed the benefits [AltaGas Utilities] expected with drive-by collection. But would those benefits be replicated over AUI’s vast service territory? AUI had 21 meter-reading cycles; each of its 14 districts read meters 21 days each month. It was clear that … several aircraft dedicated solely to AUI every day [would be needed]. That is, unless another more viable solution could be found.”
Western Energy magazine has been published since 2011, and our collection of past digital issues are available online for free in our archive.
